Activity Choices Include:
GaGa is one of the most popular games during camp. It is a lower-impact version of dodge ball, played on a carpeted court with a foam rubber ball. The ball is rolled at other players instead of being thrown.
Nothing beats the excitement of getting a bull’s eye. Party guests learn archery under the careful supervision of trained counselors. This activity works best with children seven and above.
This unique activity is sure to be one of your guest’s favorites! The kids are seat-belted in place and the counselors help turn them over and over. One of Tumbleweed’s most popular activities!
Our grassy fields are perfect for running games like kickball and soccer. Younger groups enjoy "What Time is it Mr. Fox?" or Sharks and Minnows. Older groups love Capture the Flag, relay races or tug of war.
Groups work together to solve clues and discover the hidden treasure (party favors).
Our counselors teach the children how to twist their t-shirts and dye them for delightful and surprising designs.
Elephant Moon Bounce (available during summer months)*
Our moon bounce “Jumbo” is in the shape of a giant happy elephant. Children can bounce till their heart’s content.
Inflatable Obstacle Course*
Our forty-foot by twenty-foot inflatable obstacle course delights children with its hills, tubes, and things to climb over under and through. We will alternate it with our inflatable joust (think American Gladiators) from time to time.
Children develop both strength and persistence on our rock wall. There are three sides of increasing difficulty and a vertical play pen to make sure your child has the right level of challenge. Children wear helmets and harnesses and are carefully supervised while climbing.
Our Ropes Course Specialists teach teamwork and initiative on our seven-element high ropes course and low ropes activities. Children will experience the thrill of conquering our Pamper Pole, Incomplete Bridge, Giant Swing, Cat Walk or Bosuns Chairs. They will also learn how to work together to complete the Wild Woozy and Pipe Dreams.
Ponies can be brought to camp for a fun trail ride under the watchful eye of our wranglers.
Swim Party (available during summer months)*
A pool party is a great theme for a summer birthday! Lifeguards keep everyone happy and safe while playing Marco Polo, relay races and steal the bacon.
Tuckerville (available during summer months at Tumbleweed South)
This miniature village was named after the founders of our camp, Gene and Patty Tucker, and features a winding path to ride tricycles, a play house with child-sized furniture and a collection of dress up costumes. Imagination soars as children ride from place to place pretending to visit the fire station, police station, gas station or restaurant.
Nature Center (available during summer months)
Stocked with petting zoo-type animals and staffed by our Nature Specialist, the Nature Center is the perfect place for young people to learn about our natural world. Our specialist will explain about the flora and fauna of our canyon do experiments and nature crafts with the kids, and supervise them as they pet and feed our goats, sheep, bunnies and chickens.
*Additional charge applies to these activities.
