Typical Day at Tumbleweed North
A typical day at Tumbleweed North consists of morning Pow-Wow, followed by five periods of various traditional and unique day camp activities. Swimming and lunch occur daily. Activities also alternate between high and low energy. The day ends with snack and afternoon Pow-Wow, where campers enjoy skits and performances as they get ready for transportation home.
Our North counselors are skilled at mentoring and guiding campers at their developmental level, building friendships along the way. Campers are grouped by grade, and all but our oldest North groups have two counselors with up to 16 campers. Each group attends each activity at least once per week Monday through Thursday, with electives on Fridays, so we strongly recommend registering for the full week to get the most of your camp experience.
Each week at North offers a different theme or event, from dress-up days to carnivals to our world-famous Color Games. Click here for our Summer Theme Weeks.
What’s better than a day at Tumbleweed? A night at Tumbleweed with all your camp friends! North campers have the opportunity to stay on overnights throughout the summer. Find out more about overnights here.
